Andreas ”AP” Sjöbeck , SWE
Andreas Sjöbeck is a Sweden native, born in Rimbo, a small town outside of Stockholm. In 2006 he moved up north to be able to live in the mountains and began to telemark. Only 2 years after learning to freeheel, Andreas was able to change the tele-park scene indefinitely by landing the worlds first double cork 1080 onto snow at his home resort in Sweden. Andreas used that exact trick to get to take the podium at the 2013 "Eddie Bauer" Winter Mountain Games in Vail, Colorado.
He has since traveled the world and ripped ski resorts from the US, Europe and Japan.
Andreas turned pro during the 16/17 season and has now joined the Bishop Pro Team as the first Factory Rider in Bishop history.
Andreas states, ”The new BMF technology is a game changer for me with [Bishop's] durability, stability and true step-in bindings, I'll shred the new BMF-R in the backcountry utilizing the free pivot and a strong touring features that I can trust for the bigger drops and BC kickers, meanwhile, In the park I will rip the BMF-3, The true step-in will have a huge impact for urban features that come with a lot of step in and step out."
In 2015 Andreas also created a web series called "Drop Knees
". It has released two seasons with great reviews. A third on the way will feature a Canada trip parted in 2 episodes with special guests, and another episode with Bjorn Bauer from the Vail area, "He is the most respected Photographer in the telemark scene".
